British nationals are exempt from visas for up to 90 days, which may be extended for further 90 days only once in Argentina at Dirección Nacional de Migraciones. On arrival, they should be able to demostrate that a person/organisation based in Argentina requested their professional/technical services.
For other nationalities which are not exempt from turist visas please contact the Consulate General.
Applicants or accompanying children under 18 years old
For longer periods or in case of a nationality that requires a visa, the organisation where you are going to work as a volunteer should also contact Dirección Nacional de Migraciones and present your case. They will eventually notify us of your preliminar authorization to enter the country and issue an Entry Permit, upon which you will need to book an appoinment at the Consulate General for the visa. Requirements will depend on the Entry Permit.
