If you are exempt from a visa for the kind of activity related to volunteer work you are planning, you may stay in the country for up to 90 days, which may be extended for further 90 days only once in Argentina at Dirección Nacional de Migraciones.
British nationals are exempt from visas for professional, technical and artistic activities. For other nationalities or to find out if you need to apply for a volunteer visa, please contact Dirección Nacional de Migraciones.
Applicants or accompanying children under 21 years old
For longer periods or in case of a nationality that requires a visa, the organisation where you are going to work as a volunteer should also contact Dirección Nacional de Migraciones and present your case. They will eventually notify us of your preliminar authorization to enter the country and issue an Entry Permit, upon which you will need to book an appoinment at the Consulate General for the visa. Requirements will depend on the Entry Permit, which you will have to submit on the day of your appoinment.
