British nationals DO NOT need a visa to enter Argentina for artistic purposes, whether paid or unpaid, for up to 90 days, which may be extended for another 90 days at Dirección Nacional de Migraciones. On arrival, they should be able to demostrate that a person/organisation based in Argentina requested their services. Artists invited by Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires who are staying longer than 6 months should apply for the "Artist - Teatro Colón" Visa. For other countries, please contact the Consulate General.

Hotel reservations or letter of invitation. If the applicant is staying in a private address instead of a hotel, this has to be credited by a letter of invitation in original including full contact details and ID numbers of the applicant and the person who invites.
Letter of invitation from organizers in Argentina. If they have already presented it to the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Relations and we have been communicated this circumstance, a copy of it will be suffiient. Otherwise, we require a letter addressed to our Office, stating purpose of the trip, length of stay and full contact details of the inviting organization, submitted in original and in Spanish or translated. Tthe signature and position of the signing person must be certified by an argentine notary public (Colegio de Escribanos) and subsequently by the corresponding Association of notaries public (Colegio de Escribanos).

The length of stay will be a maximum of 15 days, which may be extended at Dirección Nacional de Migraciones only once for another 15 days.
