An exhibition of all new paintings by Argentinian artist Guillermo Kuitca, accompanied by a publication. The exhibition’s focal point will be a major large-scale canvas over six metres in length in which Kuitca builds an expansive rhythmic landscape of faceted marks that is interrupted by a doorway alluding to another space beyond the painting. Portals, doorways and transitional spaces recur throughout Kuitca’s new body of work.

"Los Súper Cuentos de la Independencia", Lorenzo y Matilda are two siblings aged 8 and 6. One day, they go to visit the workshop where their grandfather Andrés restores old books. What Lorenzo and Matilda weren’t to know was that they were about to set out on a marvellous adventure: their grandfather was restoring manuscripts about the Argentine Independence and he would tell them stories of old which, in Lorenzo’s imagination, transform into an incredible tale, where men of the past become Super Heroes. 

"Viaje a Marte", by Juan Pablo Zaramella (16´) Short stop-motion animation made in Argentina. It tells the story of Antonio, a child of the '60s fans of the TV series of science fiction and space travel. Following this enthusiasm, his grandfather decides to take him to Mars in his truck-crane.

In 2011 Cristian Aliaga, one of Argentina’s foremost contemporary poets, left Patagonia to take a journey through the UK and continental Europe. So long the object of foreign gazes or described by others, this was the chance for Patagonia to talk back to the centre. The stories that he tells inspire and devastate at once.
