Leandro Erlich examines the illusory nature of appearance but concentrates on perception. Described as a "master of deception", the two works selected here playfully question the ambiguity of given and accepted realities utilising Erlich's ongoing interest in mirroring and duplication.

As
part of the multi-thematic Thames Festival, The London International Tango
Festival is an exciting four days celebration with two days staged directly
in front of Tate Modern’s riverside entrance and 4 nights in the
capital's major tango venues, with a unique opportunity to explore the
contemporary tango scene in a genuine Argentine vibe.
The event will include star performances, cutting-edge workshops led by
top international tango teachers, live music,free dancing into the night
on London’s vibrant riverside featuring beginners lessons &
tango demonstrations. To complement the dancing, all along the riverside
there will be traditional Argentinean barbeques (“asados”),
Mate tea stalls, craft and tourism stands, Argentine wine and beer and
much more.

Designed by Thomas Cubitt in 1851 and owned by Argentina since 1936, the Argentine Ambassador's Residence can be visited during the Open House London.
