Famed composer Gustavo Santaolalla introduces us to the charimsatic performers, contrasts the Buenos Aires of the 40s and 50s with the city today and lets the music lead in this hugely enjoyable look at the spirit of tango.

La Linea Festival presents the UK debut of the Buenos Aires band responsible for taking tradition acoustic tango into the 21st century, a 12-man tango 'orquesta tipica' driven by 3 violins and 4 bandoneons.

The UK debut for the tango orquesta Cafe de los Maestros that will be peforming a repertoire from tango's golden age from their youth in the 1940s and 1950s. The project has been assembled by Gustavo Santaolalla (Oscar winner for his socres for Babel and Brokeback Mountain and leader of Bajofondo Tango Club) and Gustavo Mozzi.

The Edinburgh International Tango Festival, organised by the Edinburgh Tango Society gives the chance to share a weekend of Argentine Tango in Scotland and to experience top teachers and orchestras from Buenos Aires, Paris and Edinburgh. This year's Festival also features over 20 different workshops, from complete beginner to master classes.
